Little girl lights tapers in church on Good Friday

Today millions of Christians worldwide observe the holy day of Good Friday, in which they commemorate the suffering and crucifixion of Jesus.
Many Christians celebrate Good Friday with fasting, and subdued service, usually in the evening, in which Christ’s death is remembered with solemn hymns, and prayers of thanksgiving…

The event which this day commemorates is certainly not good but the term “Good” is an old English expression meaning holy, it is referred to as “Holy Friday” as well. Others see that it is called “Good Friday” for its results are seen to be very good ones, as it is believed that Jesus died as the sins of humanity were poured out on him.

Bahrain Interfaith wishes peace and solace on this blessed Good Friday to all Christians, may this day be a day of mercy and answered prayers.
