(BI) expresses its concerns on the recent law issued in Bahrain on the 21st of January 2021, regarding the organization and administration of the Sunni and Jaafari Endowments Councils
Bahrain Interfaith has raised its concerns regarding a new law for the administration and organization of the Sunni and Jaafari Endowment Councils. (BI) stated that there is widespread criticism of the law for contradicting endowment laws in the Jaafari doctrine, as well as depriving the Jaafari judiciary from its role in endowment cases.
(BI) called for a reconsideration of the law, and called for enabling endowment organizations of the management and administration of their activities and duties .
