العربيةSheikh Maytham Al Salman, Head of Religious Freedom Unit in the Bahrain Human Rights Observatory denounced the Government’s attempts to take possession of wide area of the Imam Hadi mosque’s land in Hamad Town.
Al Salman said the mosque’s document illustrates that its land is very large and includes archaeological hills. The building of the mosque was disrupted until the hills are excavated.
Al Salman called on the authority to immediately stop its systematic targeting of religious freedoms and the Shiites’ holy places. He said such practices are provocative to the Bahraini people’s beliefs and feelings and surely have a negative impact on all Bahrainis.
